Preferred Education

Interested applicants must have a Master of Science degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Ph.D. in Mathematics or Mathematics Statistics, but at least either Master’s or Doctorate degree must be in statistics.

Preferred Experience Requirements

Interested applicants must have at least three years prior teaching experience at college level. He/she must possess good communication skills in English and be able to teach all levels of undergraduate mathematics courses, particularly for statistics.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Interested applicants must have a good knowledge of statistics at the level of at least master’s degree. He/she should have the knowledge of classroom management, classroom effectiveness; responsiveness to students; knows how to exhibit professional conduct, and evaluate instruction.

This position is responsible for helping the Department of Mathematics achieve its goals by excellent teaching, conducting scholarly activities and service to the department and the university. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, organizing instruction and classroom management; excellent classroom teaching and effectiveness, responsiveness to students; attending tutorial lab and helping students in need; exhibiting professional conduct; advising students as assigned by the department head; evaluating instruction fairly and run a responsible classroom environment; developing a substantial and funded research agenda and scholarship; actively participating in student math major recruitment; supporting retention and student development; participating in University and departmental committee activities and events; conducting peer evaluations.
